Genau. That is why I do not like Mitfahrzentrale either. Arranging the things takes some effort, and there is even a chance that a driver does not show up. With hitchhiking at least you can select drivers on service stations (eg preferably category 1 or 2 cars). But sometimes we have no choice and in winter hitching also has some small setbacks and such. However, Mitfahrgelegenheit provides a secure feeling. Not that I believe it would be safer ~ perhaps for females. Thumbs up for hitchhiking.
