Seite in meheren Sprachen

Hallo,

Why bother?

Many (if not most) of us can read German (or maybe use Google to translate it) and very few people cannot read English. Adding a multi-lingual interface might be nice, but it's not very KISS. (Keep It Simple, Stupid)

Might want to get a discussion about this before you spend lots of time on a feature that might not be used a lot...

i think it that robert is right. better spend the time in more importent stuff... multilingual is not neccesary yet

OK...

OK.

However, there have been always quite some voices that wanted the page in English... Now it is some sort of an mix (in the forum)... I personally do not like this mix (in the forum it is OK, on the page no), I would like to have it separated...

> and very few people cannot read English

I think this is not true. I think there are quite some people that can not read English (or German). Especially quite a lot that are around the age of starting hitchhiking, up to then you just have it at school... I always appreciated to have an English version of autostop.lt and not only an Lithuanian. Also, I am excluded of reading some of the greatest sources about hitchhiking: AVP Free Encyclopedia, I would love to have an English version of this... I am sure that there are people that can not read German, but could learn and would appreciate from the information we provide here... Further, I do belief that knowledge exchange between languages (and cultures) is important and this can also happen through this...

I do agree that it might not be necessary yet. However, it will anyway take still quite some time until this function works... It might also be that we included it far too late and it won't be possible to use it anyway (as it seem right now). We will find out, and I will learn more about Drupal...

What is the more important stuff? :)

Best,

PS: I also added 'Translatable Comments' yesterday, but it did not work yet...
