Kurzstrecken und Landstraßen

wilkommen! dein beitrag freut mich sehr, denn er ist der erste beitrag im forum von einem mitnehmer und nicht nur von trampern.

es ist immer interessant und auch gewollt fuer kurze strecken mitgenommen zu werden!

ich trampe immer mal wieder in der stadt, wenn mir zu muehsam ist zu laufen oder ich micht nicht mit den fahrplaenen auskenne. meist spreche ich dann leute an einer ampel an und frage ein paar meter weiter mitgenommen zu werden. dies funktioniert meist recht gut. ich habe es noch nie bei einen kurzen trip probiert mit einem schild von einem ende der stadt zum anderen zu trampen, es koennte funktionieren, doch meine erfahrung von laengern trips ist dass es eher muehsam ist. viele leute sehen wohl keinen grund einen mitzunehmen (es gibt ja bus/starszenbahn), die ziele sind zu unterschiedlich, viele leute sind im strass und dann steht die wartezeit nicht ganz im verhaeltnis zu der entfernung...

ideen und anregungen was dich zum anhalten bringen wuerde interessieren mich.

es funktioniert sehr gut von einem dorf ins nächste zu trampen und so auf landstraßen unterwegs zu sein. innerhalb einer stadt versuche ich es erst gar nicht, weil die möglichkeiten die der autofahrer hat für mich in die falsche richtung abzubiegen sehr viele sind... ich denke, mit bus und straßenbahn sind strecken innerhalb von staädten einfach wesentlich komfortabler!

Ich denke, in Staedten lohnt es sich einfach nicht. Versucht habe ich es gelegentlich, aber war nie sehr erfolgreich. Oeffentliche Verkehrsmittel gibt es in jeder Grossstadt sehr viele und sehr guenstig. Eine halbe Stunde zu warten um 2 Euro fuer ein Ticket zu sparen ist es mir einfach nicht Wert.

I often start hitchhiking almost at my front door, be it for as long as I will still live in the same place. It is like ten steps to the end of the little village in which I live, and then I start.

Hitchhiking through cities is always really tricky, think I never did it. One time I hitched on the last onramp before the motorway ring around Luxembourg city, with the expectation to end up somewhere in the city from where I would hitch on. Cars speeded by at 90 kmh, and the third one stopped. That was the only ride in a Porsche I had so far and we went through the center of Luxembourg at 100 kmh (speed limit of 50 kmh was in force).

Hitched through Maastricht once.

A lot easier usually is hitchhiking from a motorway exit to the city center. But not always.

Sometimes it can be really easy to hitch through cities, if there are some queues at traffic lights.

In unknown cities and village I usually do not know when public transport is going, so sometimes hitchhiking is just a lot more practical.
