Exit Antwerpen

Service area Kruibeke can be

Service area Kruibeke can be reached by bus from Antwerp to Kruibeke. From the bus stop OLV Plein walk 3.6 kilometers over Gildestraat, Molenstraat, Beverenstraat direction Beveren, then after the tunnel 500 meter northeast by the side of the road. According to Autostopguide to Europe. Further suggestions from Autostopguide: http://www.autostopguide.com > navigator > navigator > belgium > antwerpen

Suggested is the access lane of R1 x Luitenant Lippenslaan, 100 meter east of Antwerpen Ostbahnhof. Sounds unlogic as it is on the wrong side of the city, but perhaps very easy.

A1 Breda, NII Bergen op Zoom, Eindhoven, Luik (Liege), Gent
Stopping space on motorway sliproad in both directions. Junction connects main road out of center to motorway.

If hh was common, this could be a very very popular spot, and perhaps it is indeed :)

Where 3.6 includes 500 :)

Hitchhiking Antwerpen - Paris, really via Liege?

Frank, would you really hitch from Antwerpen from to Paris via Liege and not Lille? This sounds a bit strange to me...

alex

PS: To walk 3.6 km? You must be kidding... I guess you can hitchhike there from a town exit...

Not by Liege of course. The

Not by Liege of course. The spot near Antwerpen Ostbahnhof is suitable in directions Breda, Bergen op Zoom, Eindhoven, Luik (Liege), Gent. To Gent you need to use the other southwestbound onramp. It's only interesting that the spot is on the wrong side of the city, but very easy to reach with pubtrans. Anyway, Liege is a nice town, hey, they also call it "Paris of the North"... ;)

Seems fine indeed.

But well, hiking is very nice, besides hitching. Together they are unbeatable :p

PS. Still have to walk the last 500 meters :)

Also very likely possible to take that same bus but to get out at a stop in Burcht, then walk to the access lane A14 x N419. Shorter walk, perhaps lower bus fare and first driver can take you from that access lane to the petrol station...

And if there is a train

And if there is a train station (well a bus will be 4 sure) then the A14 access lane there seems very suitable as a starting point, with petrol station after the next exit.
